I just traded a Krug + $20 for a NGC MS62 $20 St. Gaudens. I still have a bit of a fetish for U.S. coins.

Good deal, at least better than I ever got offered. 40 bucks over spot is what I have gotten mine for. They contain exactly .9675 troy ounces of Gold so actually I spent more than 40 bucks spot one ounce of Gold.

The $20 St. Gaudens are the most beautiful coins ever struck (In my opinion).

I know I got a good deal on the Saint but I still felt bad because I lost a Krug.

On the other hand when I went back later and I was talking to him about Canadian nickels he told me he had a small bag so we started looking for it. We were moving bags of coins when he said "Hey you want to buy some Wheats?" I told him it depends on the price. He said "face just get them outta here".

They are all rolled and in a mint bag so counting them was a cinch. There was also a plastic bag of corroded or rusty 1943 steel cents that he gave me the same "deal" on!




Ohhhhhhhhh I about forgot the totals....

5900 wheats (118 rolls)
1500? steel...they were loose so we guessed by weight.

$74 OTD!
